“In one day hundreds of tons of plastic waste are processed into other processed products, as well as more controlled from the content of harmful substances in plastic before recycling.”

Nusa Dua, Bali, (ANTARA News) – To overcome the environmental constraints of plastic waste, the development of the recycling industry is the best alternative solution to reduce the problem, said recycling entrepreneur Stephen Bowhill.

“Plastic can be recycled into a more useful product, and it can be a solution to reduce plastic waste in the environment,” Chief Repal Indonesia Chief Executive Officer Stephen Bowhill told Antara in Bali on Tuesday.

Stephen said his company could convert plastic waste into factory pallets to help distribution operations at the factory.

In one day hundreds of tons of plastic waste is processed into other processed products, as well as more controlled from the content of harmful substances in plastic before recycling.

However, the supply of plastic waste is also still considered to be too high, so that the absorption of plastic waste is not optimal in some regions.

This was stated by IBCSD Communication Manager Katrina Inandia to Antara. He considered that there were many plastic waste stocks in several regions, but because the prices sold were quite high, many entrepreneurs were reluctant to buy them from collectors.

“Even if the collectors do not set a high price, plastic waste will be faster to be recycled,” Katrina said.
