Challenge
Sending cement bags on one-way timber pallets to local companies, and timber pallets short-lifetime meant it was not worth returning; incurring high lifetime cost and large carbon footprint from using hardwood timber (needed for strength)
Solution
Choosing Re>Pal’s HD1210 as a strong, heavy duty pallet which has a long life and therefore excellent lifetime value, suitable for and worth backhauling to ensure maximum value is obtained from the pallet. In addition the long pallet life ensures a lower overall carbon footprint from using Re>Pal.
