CASE STUDY – LF LOGISTICS

Challenge

Across its complex business, LF Logistics uses a pallet pooling company, however for certain pallet journeys, LF Logistics has simpler closed loops where it was running timber pallets.

Solution

LF Logistics partnered with Re>Pal to replace the pooling company within these simple closed loops, and purchased Re>Pal’s pallets.

“Following our initial testing, we have been delighted with Re>Pal™’s high quality pallet and its suitability for our demanding warehouse environment. Sustainable growth is vitally important for us and we have been pleased to find a product in Indonesia that can provide the dual benefits of decreasing the carbon and waste footprint associated with timber pallets, whilst still meeting our price and performance parameters.”

He added “In Indonesia, we are growing significantly and we will be exploring the environmental benefits of transitioning to plastic from timber as we expand. We also like the benefit that using plastic pallets brings to our product handling and staff safety. Additionally, the lifetime value of the Re>Pal pallet compared to timber is what will help our transition. Also helpful to the peace of mind of using RePal™ plastic is the circularity and small additional financial benefit offered by Re>Pal’s™ Take>Bak scheme where we send end of life pallets back to Re>Pal’s facility for re-processing and re-use.”
