The new HDX range of pallets will be roughly 33% lighter when compared to our HD 1210 with the same racking load capacity. The lower weight will enable production to scale as we can deliver more pallets per hour from the same tonnage of plastic, which will increase utilisation. Importantly the multiple sizes in one mold allows us to cover a wider range of customers and applications whereas we have been limited to one size per mold before. Therefore we can cover more applications per mold with this new design pathway.
The sizes we can generate from one mold are:
- HD1311X (1300×1100) (available in 2 models: cross board & runner)
- HD1211X (1200×1100) (available in 2 models: cross board & runner)
- HD1111X (1100×1100) (available in 2 models: cross board & runner)
We will keep proceeding down this design pathway, so that we have flexibility to utilise more extrusion lines allowing us to cater for more variety in client orders and also have a faster delivery/ production time. With the prior investment in pallet welding technology, this new range of two-piece pallets will all be welded rather than being nailed together, which provides for increased structural strength. Using a welding process also means that these pallets are even more suitable for applications such food production with the additional benefits of being even safer and longer lasting.
