DHL Accredits Re>Pal and selects the NP1210 for its DGF freight forward business

DHL Global Forwarding (DGF), part of the leading global freight courier company DHL, has accredited Re>Pal as a supplier and will be placing orders shortly with Re>Pal to use the NP1210 pallet for its clients exports from the Philippines.

Marilyn Fernandes, Manager – VAS Strategic Accounts commented “Corporate Responsibility is the key indicator towards DHL Global Forwarding Strategy 2020. Through this Living Responsibility programme, it’s our approach to create economic, social & environmental value for both our stakeholders and the planet. Simultaneously, we strongly support the goal of our Go Green programme, which is to pave the way towards a greener, more sustainable future.” She added “Keeping these initiatives in view DHL has carefully reviewed Re>Pal for our overall business requirements. The Re>Pal pallet has offered us an environmentally friendly alternative compared to wooden pallets, and as such Re>Pal is aligned with our Go Green Program. They have proven to be highly cost efficient, not only taking up less warehouse space as a result of the nestability function but are durable and of good quality which sets it apart from other standard pallets.”

Clearly this is great for Re>Pal to have such another global leader on the Re>Pal client roster. While the volumes are not large via this DGF channel within DHL Philippines, there are several good things which are evident from this news. Firstly, that Re>Pal has been selected by such a prestigious company as DHL; secondly that the pallets have been chosen on the criteria of cost effectiveness, durability and sustainability; and finally, that we are now accredited in the DHL Philippines system. We will be looking to leverage this good news with other business units of DHL regionally and of course with other similar businesses. Even if the volume is small, because these are pallets used for export, there will often be a recurring need for the NP1210, on the assumption that DHL continues to purchase from Re>Pal. It is important for Re>Pal to target both export and warehouse pallets. We look forward to developing a broader and deeper relationship within DHL.
